Brainspotting

Brainspotting is a brain-body approach that helps access and process trauma held in the nervous system. Developed by David Grand, PhD, it is based on the idea that where we look can affect how we feel, and that certain points in the visual field can help bring awareness to experiences that may be held below words and conscious thought.

This approach can be especially helpful for trauma and PTSD, relationship and attachment wounds, grief and loss, fears and phobias, performance anxiety, blocks to creativity, anger, addiction, sexual trauma, negative self-beliefs, depression, and chronic pain.

In my practice, Brainspotting is used with care, attunement, and attention to pacing. Together, we can determine whether this approach feels supportive for your process and how it may fit within your broader therapy.
